Obituary of Edna Bolton Bayne

Mrs. Edna Earle Bolton Bayne went home to be with the Lord April 3, 2021. She was 88 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Bayne will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with her son, Reverend Robert D. Bayne, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 12:30 Noon until service time. Mrs. Bayne was born May 23, 1932 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Christopher Columbus Bolton and Leola Woodard Bolton. She married the love of her life, Robert Bayne in 1948 and went on to get a degree in bookkeeping at Troy State University – Dothan. She was a long-standing member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Ozark where she was involved in many roles. She worked with the children’s department for over 30 years. Family was her life’s joy passing on talents of cooking, seamstress, hostess, wife, mother and caregiver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Donald Bayne, Sr.; and one brother, Hillman Ellis Bolton. Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Jean Gilbert; one son, Reverend Robert D. Bayne (Lena); two grandchildren, Sabrina Collum and Heather Brown (Jason); six great grandchildren, Ashley Stokes (Jesse) Allison Lowery, Bryant Brown, Bayne Brown, Addison Brown and William Brown; two great-great grandchildren, Mackenzie Stephens and Jackson Stokes. Several nieces and nephews.
