Obituary of Mark David Thomas

Mr. Mark David Thomas, a resident of the Rocky Head Community, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He was 55 years old. A private memorial for Mr. Thomas will be held at a later date. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Thomas was born April 26, 1969 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Fort Payne High School and later Sparks Technical School in Eufaula. Mark worked as a lead-man with K. W. Plastics in Troy. He was an avid Alabama fan who wore his “Big Al” shirt every Saturday during football season. Since childhood Mark enjoyed building model cars. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Allen Thomas; his brother, Steve Allen Thomas Jr.; and his nephew, Matthew Lance “Bubba” Thomas, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Janet Thomas of Fort Payne, Alabama; one sister, Polly Delora “Dee” Sanders (James Chad) of the Rocky Head Community; two brothers, James Michael Thomas of Rainsville, Alabama and Matthew Lance Thomas (April) of Brundidge, Alabama; and his best friend, Randy Daniels of Ozark. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
