Mrs. Minnie Faye Godwin Dean, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday, February 24, 2025. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dean will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 1, 2025, from Good Hope Baptist Church near Troy with Reverend Wayne Locklear officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Dean was born November 17, 1944 in Troy, Alabama to the late Ralph Audice Godwin and Annie Belle Holmes Godwin. Minnie married Jerry Don Dean in 1961 and together they raised three children: Dannie, James and Darren. She was a loving mother-in-law to Holly and also a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren. Minnie enjoyed spending her time gardening, cultivating beautiful flowers and plants that brought joy to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and unwavering love for her family. May Minnie’s memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Good Hope Baptist Church, 1093 County Road 1165, Troy, Alabama 36079.
