Obituary of Cindy Wilkerson Butler
Mrs. Cindy Marlene Wilkerson Butler, a resident of the Chalkhead Community, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 62 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Jack Maxwell, Reverend Larry Sowell and Reverend Jamie Hattaway officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. A private interment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Butler was born September 26, 1962 in Eustis, Florida to Dorothy Willene Paul Wilkerson and the late Levy Marrell Wilkerson. The family moved back to Ozark when Cindy was very young. She attended the Ozark City Schools and was employed as a private sitter at the age of 17. Cindy worked with Oakview Manor Nursing Facility in Ozark as a Nursing Assistant for several years and retired from Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center as the Activities Director after 36 years. Cindy was a member of Victory Holiness Church in Abbeville, Alabama where she enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was extremely crafty and enjoyed decorating and planning weddings. Cindy was very family oriented, she loved her family. She was an animal lover, especially cats. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Culley and Bruce Culley.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Keith Butler of Ewell; her mother, Dorothy Willene Paul Wilkerson of Ewell; her sister, Ann Sullivan (Bill) of Ozark; two brothers, Howard Culley (Debbie) of Taylor and Levy Wilkerson (Glenell) of Ozark; a special friend and co-worker at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation, Jennifer Richardson. A host of nieces and nephews that she treated as her own also survive.
The family would like to thank the staff of Oakview Manor for their love and professionalism.
