Obituary of James Arthur Mizell

Mr. James Arthur Mizell, a resident of Skipperville, died Sunday, May 18, 2025, at his home. He was 78 years old. A private memorial service for Mr. Mizell will be held at a later date. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Mizell was born October 2, 1946 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Charles Dorman Mizell and Lucille Pearce Mizell. He graduated from Carroll School in 1965 and served in the Alabama National Guard. Mr. Mizell worked with General Telephone as a cable splicer for many years. He was an avid coin collector and loved watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Dorman Mizell, Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Cheri Lynn Wimberley (Gary) of Headland and Jenny Mizell of Oxford, Alabama; two sons, James Bryant Mizell of Ozark and William Mizell of Chelsea, Alabama; three sisters, Doris Baker of Ozark, Clara Cook and Juanita Roberts (Joel) all of Skipperville.
