Obituary of Charles Houston Pruett

Mr. Charles Houston Pruett, a resident of Ozark, died Monday, July 7, 2025, at his home. He was 92 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Pruett will be graveside 10:00 A. M. Friday, July 11, 2025, in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Interment will follow with Full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Pruett was born October 12, 1932 in Moorhead, Mississippi to the late Nathaniel Houston Pruett and Ethel Booth Pruett. He served in the United States Army for twenty years until his retirement. Following his military service, they made their home in Level Plains and in Daleville before settling in Ozark in 1987. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helga Werner Pruett; his daughter, Diane Pruett Hawkins; and his siblings, Benny Pruett, Kathrine Hobson and Mary Higgenbotham. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ethel and Wade Reese of Daleville, Alabama; and one son and daughter-in-law, Ralf and Delilia Werner of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Brittney Reese, Mitchell and Bailey Reese, Gregory Werner, Michael Werner and Ceara, Liane and Yassine Mhalla, Kyle and Amy Werner and Jacob Werner; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Bowling, Hafsa Olivia Mhalla and Elaina Werner.
