Obituary of Michael Eugene Watson

Mr. Michael Eugene “Mike” Watson, a resident of Skipperville, Alabama, died Monday, November 3, 2025 at Flowers Hospital. He was 59 years old. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Watson at this time. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Watson was born July 7, 1966 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Durwood Eugene Watson and Marjorie Bludsworth Watson. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1985 and the Alabama Aviation and Technical College. Mike worked with various aviation contractors throughout the south and last with Pemco World Air Services. He worked with Road Mart in Ozark as an Assistant Manager. Mike was an over-the-road truck driver with J. B. Hunt and with James Whitman hauling Big Dog Motorcycles. He loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, swimming, and he was an avid Alabama fan. Mike is preceded in death by one sister Melane Watson. Survivors include his wife, Shannon Goolsby Watson; one daughter, Jenna Newton; two sons, Matthew Smith and Ben Smith (Raven); and one brother, Jeff Watson. Six grandchildren also survive.
