Mrs. Annie Merle Rogers Kirkland, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her home peacefully surrounded by family. She was 76 years old.

A memorial service for Mrs. Kirkland will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Chaplain Brian Simoneaux officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Mrs. Kirkland was born August 17, 1949 in Dale County to the late David Pruett Rogers and Elizabeth Opal Kirkland Rogers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking, but mostly she loved helping others, reading her Bible and spreading the word of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Liz Lewis and Carolyn Phillips; three brothers, Charles Clayton Rogers, Jimmy Rogers and Billy Pruett Rogers; and one grandson, Kyle Green.

Survivors include four children, Amy Reeves (Cleveland) of New Brockton, Donna Green and Matt Holder both of Ozark, and Brad Green (Ann) of Ariton; three sisters, Reba Potts (Keith) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Faye Seaman and Beverly Rogers all of Ozark; three brothers, Eldridge Rogers of Dothan, David Rogers (Barbara) of Daphne, Alabama and Jackie Rogers (Bridgett) of Troy; grandchildren, Madisyn Reeves, Dylan Dahlgren, Drew Green, Tyson Holder, Michael Holder, Kinnley Holder, Teagan Holder, Lacy Echols, Emma Echols, Forest Green and Alexis Green. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
