Mr. David Owen Ellison a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Flowers Hospital. He was 77 years old.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Ellison at this time. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Ellison was born September 20, 1948 in Del Rio, Oklahoma to the late Albert Stuart Ellison and Hazel Owen Ellison. He graduated from Del Rio High School where he loved to drive the school bus. Following graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. After his military service David was employed with the railroad and retired as an inspector following fifty years of service. He worked with Farm Rail in Elk City, Oklahoma and Evans Railcar in Ozark. David loved to watch pod-cast on the computer and work in his garden with his late wife, Kathy. David was an Alabama “Roll Tide” and Oklahoma Sooner fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Kathleen Harned Ellison.

Survivors include four daughters, Kim Wright of Skipperville, Sonya Tull of Ozark, Bridget Peters (Ed) of Ozark and Jeanette Tull of Macon, Georgia.
