Mr. Rupert Willis, age 83, of Ozark died Tuesday morning, January 15, 2008 in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 17, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert and Reverend Marty Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Skipperville cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Willis was born in Dale County to the Late Belva Byrd Willis and Lee Willis. He was a Veteran of World War II serving as a B-25 pilot. He was employed prior to and after the War with Borden Company in Dothan, Alabama, Pensacola, and Tampa, Florida, retiring in 1987 after 40 years service. Mr. Willis was a member of the Ozark First United Methodist Church, the John Wesley Sunday School Class, and the United Methodist Men's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children's Mother, Evelyn Hawk Willis in 1976. He is survived by his Wife of 30 years, Paula Roberts Willis of Ozark; two sons and their wives, Rupert Lee and Kathryn Willis of Holmes Beach, Florida, David Lawrence and Rita C. Willis of Dallas, Texas; stepsons, Dan and Billie Jean Faust of Lilburn, Georgia, and James B. Faust of Ozark; grandchildren, Evelyn, John, Andrea, Sean, Taylor, and Grant Willis. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Skipperville Cemetery Fund, % Mrs. Faye Huey, 3489 County Road 50, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
