Our History
"Your Shelter in the Storm since 1929"
More than 94 years have gone by since Kenneth Holman began serving his friends and neighbors in their times of need. The philosophy of Holman Funeral Home is the same today as when it was founded in 1929: Provide every family with personalized service combined with the flexibility to arrange a funeral service as unique as the individual you are honoring at a price that is affordable to every family that has requested service.
The cornerstones of our family owned business include: Personalized service, flexibility and affordability.
At Holman, we still remember when the word "service" meant something. While our business has grown over the past 95 years, we still are committed to providing the exceptional level of personalized service each family has come to expect and appreciate when they call Holman Funeral Home.
The staff of Holman Funeral Home know that the family we are serving is honoring someone special. It could be a spouse of less than a year or of 50 years. It could be a devoted father or mother, a relative, or a long- time business associate. The flexibility of our family-owned business allows us to direct a service or memorial as unique and extraordinary as that person you are honoring.
While Holman Funeral Home is the oldest independent and locally owned funeral home in Dale County, it retains its affordability through that same independent family ownership which began in 1929. We sincerely appreciate the support, trust and confidence that families of our small, rural community have placed with us during these many years. In turn, we have a long-term commitment to them: always provide a choice in selecting a family owned business during their time of need. The staff at Holman Funeral Home will always prefer to remain a part of our community rather than a part of a large impersonal corporation.
