Mr. Randal "Rand" Faust, 92, of Skipperville, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, October 29, 2005, in the Dale Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be graveside at 1:00 P. M. (C.S.T.) Tuesday, November 1, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Forrest Weekley officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. (C.S.T.) Monday evening. Mr. Faust was born October 18, 1913 in the Arguta Community of Dale County to the late Rosella Rhodes Faust and Amirah Biggs Faust , and lived in Skipperville for the past fifty years. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Arena and received an honorable discharge. Rand retired as a rural mail carrier for the Federal Postal Service following 31 years of service. He was one of the original directors of the Dale County Water Authority. Mr. Faust was further involved in the community working with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Civil Air Patrol, Skipperville School and community sports activities. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Arnold Faust, his brothers, Bascom Faust, Lemuel Faust, Ted Faust, and Raymond Faust, and his sister, Bessie Gillis. He is survived by his daughter, Marjorie McIntyre and her husband, Robert, Birmingham, his son, Dennis Faust and his wife, Judy, Tallahassee, one brother, J. P. Faust and his wife, Jean, Ozark, five grandchildren, Brent McIntyre and his wife, Rachel, Lori Green and her husband, Wade, Paige Loggins and her husband, Phillip, Mandy Faust, Michael Faust and his wife, Shannon, seven great grandchildren, Pat and Amy McIntyre, Matthew, Daniel and Jacob Green, Alex and Hampton Loggins, and a host of devoted friends.
