Mr. Julius Louis Clifton (Lou) Berry, retired CW4, of Daleville, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, in Flowers Hospital. He was 73 years old. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 4:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Sunday afternoon, January 30, 2005. A Memorial Service will be held in Charleston, South Carolina later next week. Mr. Berry was a retired CW4 Officer, having served in the United States Army for 27 years as a pilot during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and earned a Masters Degree in Aviation. He was very involved with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Quiet Birdmen Organization and many other private and civil organizations. He served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Daleville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Clifton Berry and Essie Lula Inabinett Berry. Survivors include his two children, Joseph Berry and his wife, Kimberly Berry of Dothan, Alabama and Julie Berry Church and her husband, Lee Church of Peachtree City, Georgia, Three granddaughters, Erin, Keri, and Kelly Church.
