Obituary of Frances Leonora Portwood

Mrs. Frances Hartzog Portwood, 85, of Ozark, died Sunday evening, December 4, 2016, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Joe Underwood and Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Interment will be in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Portwood was born March 14, 1931, to the late Ewell J. and Ella Westbrook Hartzog. A native of Barbour County living her adult life in Ariton. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom Manufacturing in Brundidge after 24 years, and a member of the Elam Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Yvonne Helms and her husband Max, Blue Springs.
One son LaDon Portwood and his wife Diane, Ozark.
One sister Mary Portwood, Ariton and sister-in-law, Alice Henderson, Dothan.
Five Grandchildren, Janet Evans(Lee), Lisa Fisher(Heath), Jennifer Casteel(Brandon), Leslie Kirkland(Derrel) and Craig Portwood(Amy).
12 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Community Hospice, 126 Hospital Ave., Ozark, AL 36360.
