Obituary of Thomas Jones Huey

Mr. Thomas Jones Huey, Jr., 87, of Ozark, died Sunday, November 19, 2017. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 24, 2017, from Skipperville United Methodist Church with Reverend Bradley Chamblee and his son-in-law, Reverend Adam T. Trambley, officiating. Interment will follow in Skipperville Community Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Friday in the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Mr. Huey was born May 18, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Thomas Jones Huey, Sr. and Carrie Ella Appleton Huey. Mr. Huey served in the United States Marine Corps and also the United States Air Force. He worked as an Environmental Systems Technician and Draftsman Design Engineer until his retirement. He was an active member of Skipperville United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Tenenbaum, Betty Seftchick, and Alice Moore; and his granddaughter, Heather Huey Crawford. Survivors include his wife, Mary Faye Davis Huey of Ozark; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Jenifer Huey of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jane Elizabeth and Reverend Adam T. Trambley of Sharon, Pennsylvania; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Lindy Huey of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Lillian Elizabeth Trambley, Julia Claire Trambley, Rachel Huey Rojas, and Bryce Rojas; his brother-in-law, Arvin Moore of Lynn Haven, Florida. Two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
