During his fight with heart disease he continued to inspect the hospital gowns that he found himself wearing at the University of Alabama Hospital, The Southeast Alabama Medical Center, and Flowers Hospital to see who made the gowns and how well they were constructed. Norman loved his family, the land he spent so much time on in Ewell throughout his life, and Alabama Football.
