Obituary of Jerry Dalton Cotton

Mr. Jerry Dalton Cotton, Sr., 76, of Ozark, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, May 6, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 12:30 P. M. Saturday until service time.
Mr. Cotton was born March 24, 1941 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Dalton Felton Cotton and Reba Elizabeth Cotter Cotton. Mr. Cotton was a life-long resident of Dale County where he worked with his family business, Dale Recap in Ozark. After attending Auburn University, he served in the United States Army. He was a top salesman for Star Tire and Rubber Company, and also served as Regional Sales Manager. He was an entrepreneur. Mr. Cotton served on the Ozark Civic Center Board for sixteen years. He enjoyed boating, golfing, and was an Auburn fan through and through.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Dalton Cotton, II of Ozark; and Cheryl Petrey, Mother of his son.
