Obituary of Betty Joyce Duffey

Miss Betty Joyce Duffey, 80, of Ozark, Alabama, formerly of Hurtsboro, Alabama, died Thursday morning, March 24, 2016 in Oakview Manor Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2016, from the First Baptist Church of Hurtsboro in Hurtsboro, Alabama with her nephew, Jarrod Williams and Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Hurtsboro City Cemetery with Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Miss Duffey was born June 9, 1935 in Hurtsboro, Alabama to the late Joseph Edwin Duffey and Inez Hardaway Duffey. She worked as a registered nurse for thirty-five years until her retirement from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Survivors include four sisters, Doris (Bobby) McCain, Faye Watford, Jean (John) Williams, Rosemary (Donald) Johnson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hurtsboro Cemetery Committee, P. O. Box 535, Hurtsboro, Alabama 36860; or to Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Hwy, Suite 2, Dothan, Alabama 36303. Service Information
