Mr. Coleman Franklin "Cole" Garrett, III, age 25, of Ozark, died at his home Saturday afternoon February 4, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Joe Reams, Reverend Marty Hamilton, and Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Garrett's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening. Cole was born November 9, 1980 in Dothan, Alabama. He was a lifelong resident of Ozark where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an honor graduate of Carroll High School and graduated from Auburn University with a BS Degree in finance. Cole was employed with Mid South Bank in Dothan as a Private Banking Loan Officer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, a devout Christian, and loved his Church. He enjoyed boating, Auburn football, and loved his dog, Hallie. Surviving Cole are his parents; Frank and Anita Garrett, Ozark, his brother; Clay Garrett, Ozark, his maternal grandparents; Ben and Carolyn Hall, Malone, Florida, his paternal grandparents; Coleman and Frances Garrett, Ozark, his fiancee; Erin Owens, Newville, Alabama, uncles and aunts; Jimmy and Rose Grant, Dothan, John and June Manor, Sandestin, Florida, Greg and Linda Hall, Malone, Florida, Danny and Lila Hayes, Dothan, cousins; Wes Grant, Dothan, Gina Grant, Dothan, Rosemary McKibben, Dothan, Leslie Manor, Charlotte, North Carolina, Wade Manor, Madison, Mississippi, Ashley Baker, Fairhope, Alabama, Steven and Stacey Hall, Malone, Florida, Ragan and Hayden Hayes, Dothan. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360, or to the Billy D. Gaither Sunday School Class at the same address. Service Information
