Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Scarbinsky

Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Scarbinsky, of Ozark, Alabama passed away Monday afternoon, April 9, 2018. She was 79. Elizabeth will be remembered with a funeral service which will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, April 13, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Deacon Joseph (Pat) Pattberg officiating, Holman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. A native of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth moved to Ozark in 1979 with her husband, Robert, an executive with the Phillips Van Heusen Corporation and their sons. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark and a former legal secretary. An avid reader, Elizabeth also had a passion for gardening and antique hunting. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mildred Ackalusky; and her sister, Mildred Ackalusky. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert Scarbinsky; her sons, Kevin (Cynthia) Scarbinsky and Kraig Scarbinsky; her grandsons, Kaiser and Kanon Scarbinsky; and her sisters, Theodora Kachek, Mary Jane (David) Branchick, and Kathie Ackalusky. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
