Mrs. Bertie Ezell Smith, age 93, of Ozark, died Friday morning, September 2, 2005, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, September 3, 2005 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Al Sonanstine officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Interment will be in Camp Ground Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 P. M. Saturday until service time. Mrs. Smith was born June 22, 1912 in Dale County, where she was a life-long resident. She was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress at her home for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mitchell "Mitch" Smith, her parents, Margret Annie Dillard Ezell and William Jefferson Ezell, five sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include three sisters, Mattie Eloise Williamson, Verlon Mae Turner, and Wilma Corine (Polly) Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews.
