Obituary of Mary Pryor Byrd

Mrs. Mary Ella Pryor Byrd, 93, of Montgomery, formerly of Ozark, died Thursday, September 27, 2018.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Freddie McCain officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Byrd was born July 31, 1925 in Greenville, Alabama to the late Charles Pryor and Haley Perry Pryor. She was a member of Post Oak United Methodist Church in Ozark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mixson Carroll Byrd; two sisters, Mildred Griffin and Edna Jane DePanian; and one brother, Graham Pryor.
Survivors include two sons Mixson (Maureen) Byrd of Matawan, New Jersey and George Byrd of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchild, Caci Leigh Byrd of Matawan, New Jersey; one sister, Carie Taylor of Greenville, Alabama; three brothers, Calvin (Jeanine) Pryor of Prattville, Alabama, Gerald (Mary) Pryor of Luverne, Alabama; and Pat Pryor of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Post Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
