Mrs. Ellen Marie Prater Melton, 83, of Skipperville, died Saturday morning, October 6, 2018.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service for Mrs. Melton.
Mrs. Melton was born December 13, 1934 in Cannon County, Tennessee to the late James Prater and Hattie White Prater. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jarrett Melton.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melody Melton of Skipperville; three grandchildren, Randy and Brandy Sexton of Carol Key, Florida, Michael Jarrett Melton, Jr. of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Monica Melton Hernandez of Decatur, Illinois; five great grandchildren, Nathan Sexton, Ethan Sexton, Makayla Brighton, Christie Batten, and Jacob Batten; one great-great grandchild, Madison Brighton; one sister, Joyce Reed of McMinnville, Tennessee.
