Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Creech

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth “Midge” Poston Creech, a resident of Daleville, died Monday, November 19, 2018, at her home. She was ninety-six years old. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Reverend Jim Peters officiating. Entombment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Creech was born October 26, 1922 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late James Monroe Poston and Pauline Allen Poston. She lived in Italy, Japan, and was a world-wide traveler as a devoted Army wife. Mrs. Creech was a member of Daleville Baptist Church and of The Eastern Star. She was a homemaker who loved to bake and make ceramics. Midge loved life and was a giving person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Creech; one sister, Rachael Poston Wilks; and two brothers, James Monroe Poston and Bobby Poston. Survivors include one daughter, Shaun Arsenault of Daleville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302; or to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
