Obituary of Carl Sutton

Mr. Carl "Unk" Sutton, age 53, of Ariton, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, March 5, 2011, from Elam Baptist Church with Reverend Joe Underwood and Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Sutton's body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Sutton was born February 28, 1958 in the Elamville Community of Barbour County to the late Roy Hubert Sutton, Sr. and Ruby Danner Sutton. He graduated from Barbour County High School and Enterprise Junior College. He has been in commercial building construction and was a business partner in S. C. I. S. in Ariton. Mr. Sutton was a member of Elam Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Charles Hall and Ronnie Shephard; and one nephew, Chris Hall. Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye Hall of Umatilla, Florida, Cathryn and Earl Hall of Ariton, Rebecca and Michael Foss of Brundidge, Alice Shephard of Clio; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Roy and Jill Sutton of Middleburg, Florida, Dean and Debbie Sutton of Banks, Tommy and Amy Sutton of Ozark, Edwin Sutton of Elamville, Elton Sutton of Elamville; a special friend and business partner, Daniel Kennedy and family of Clio. Seventeen nieces and nephews also survive. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Kennedy, Brandon and Terrell Kennedy, and Todd Foss. Service Information
