Obituary of Don Judah

Mr. Don Judah, age 67, of Ozark, died early Monday morning, September 27, 2010, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, from Mabson United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Skeen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors Rendered by The Alabama National Guard, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. His body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mr. Judah was born September 1, 1943 in the Mabson Community of Ozark to the late Runie Heath Judah and Samuel Reeves Judah. He served in the Alabama National Guard for thirty-nine years until his retirement in 2003 as a Warrant Officer CW4. He was a member of Mabson United Methodist Church where he enjoyed participating in the music program and picking his guitar. Mr. Judah enjoyed his family and swinging on his front porch. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Carl Glover; his sister, Thera Petralia; and his mother-in-law, Nina Sue Solomon. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dianne Eldridge Judah of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Van Shiver of Ozark; one son, Chris Judah of Dothan; two grandchildren, Taylor and Sam Shiver of Ozark; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Earl and Vivian Ward of Skipperville; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat Sauls and James Griggs of Youngstown, Florida.
