Mrs. Nell Pylant Medley, age 83, of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, July 31, 2010, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 3, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Roger Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mrs. Medley was born July 4, 1927 in Ozark to the late Carl Delone Pylant, Sr. and Selma Irene Brown Pylant. She worked as a bookkeeper with Dunn Wholesale and Collier Oil Company in Ozark until her retirement. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Medley was a loving Mother and enjoyed Southern Gospel Music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Murphy and Sue Gay; and one brother, John B. Pylant. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Turlington of Ozark, and Angelyn Medley Bolton of Montgomery; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and J. P. Faust of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl Pylant, Jr. and Joyce of Ozark; two grandchildren, John Phillip Bolton and Andrew Bolton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
