Mrs. Peggy Parrish Gary, born November 23, 1929, of 18 Ballestone Court, Dothan, formerly of 218 Garner Drive, Ozark, died early Monday morning, February 22, 2010 at her home after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Reverend Greg Aman and Reverend John D. Reese III officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Holman Funeral Home. Mrs. Gary was a native of Ozark and a member of the Ozark Baptist Church, where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She was actively involved in local politics for many years. She is the daughter of the late Charlie S. and Annie Hudson Parrish and preceded in death by her husband, James William "Bill" Gary of Ozark; her sister, Dottie Redd of Enterprise; and her brother, Samuel Lewis "Sammy" Parrish of Ozark. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Debbie Gary Graham, Gainesville, FL; one son Robert S. "Bobby" Gary, Panama City Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Genna Murray, Dothan, AL, and Courtney McKinney, Cumming,GA; three great grandsons, William Michael "Will" McKinney and Trenton Andrew "Trent" McKinney, Cumming, GA, and Michael Donovan "Mikie" Murray II, Dothan, AL; one sister, Betty Gamble, Dothan, AL; and one brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. "Bill" Parrish, Enterprise, AL. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Active pallbearers will be Michael McKinney, William Michael "Will" McKinney, Daniel Hobson Carmichael, Danny Carmichael, Charles W. "Chuck" Parrish, James David "Bozy" Redd, David Redd, and David S. Parrish. Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Andrew "Trent" McKinney and Michael Donovan "Mikie" Murray II.
