Obituary of Betsy Heath Johnson

Mrs. Betsy Heath Johnson, age 44, of Ozark, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at her home following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, February 9, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend David Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Sunday. Mrs. Johnson was born November 30, 1964 in Ozark where she graduated from Carroll High School in 1983. She worked with V. J.'s Bakery for many years, and with H & W Convenience Store in Skipperville. Mrs. Johnson was presently working as a substitute school teacher at G. W. Long High School and Elementary School. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR Racing and Alabama Fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Johnson and her father, Gerald Heath. Survivors include her son, Cody Johnson of Ozark; two stepsons and daughter-in-law, Shane and Samantha Johnson of Clopton, Derrick Johnson of Chipley, Florida; her mother and stepfather, Judy and Wallace Bludsworth of Ozark; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Traci and Joe Schell of Enterprise, and Heather Heath of Colquitt, Georgia; one brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Angie Heath of Ozark; two grandchildren, Walker Johnson and Annsley Johnson; two nephews, Steadman Heath and Brock Heath; three nieces, Parker Schell, Rachel Schell, and Mattie Grace Heath.
