Obituary of Frances Bagwell Cain

Mrs. Frances Bagwell Cain, age 83, of Ozark, died Thursday morning, December 11, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Skipperville following a long battle with alzheimer's. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, December 13, 2008, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend W. L. Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Cain's body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday evening. Mrs. Cain was born May 28, 1925 in Dale County to the late John Daniel Bagwell and Hallie Peacock Bagwell. She owned and operated Frances Beauty Shop in Ozark for over 40 years. She loved her family, her church, and fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Coley Vernon Cain, and one brother, Dan O'Neal Bagwell. Survivors include her loving and devoted daughter, Kathy Cook and son-in-law, Tommy of Skipperville; one adopted daughter, Kathy Waters Jones of Bradenton, Florida; seven grandchildren, Donna Pinyan of Ozark, Coley and Stephanie Pinyan of Skipperville, Richard and Leanne Pinyan of Echo, Phillip and Dana Pinyan of Bertha; eight great grandchildren, Erin Pinyan Wright and her husband Clint of Headland, Trevor Pinyan of Echo, Phillip Michael, Caleb, Brooke, Megan, and Joshua Pinyan of Bertha; a special friend, Myrtice Lane of Ozark; two sisters, Hattie Pippins of Ewell and Virginia Stork of Manassas, Virginia; the precious nurses from hospice, Theresa, Patty, Lorie, and Susan; and the aides, Brittaney and Miss Margie; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Allen Pinyan of Ozark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360; Community Hospice, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to The Alzheimer's Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
