Mrs. Kathryn Byrd Lisenby Lee, age 90, of Ozark, died Saturday morning, April 28, 2007, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, from the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert, Reverend Marty Hamilton, and her nephews, Reverend Joe Lisenby and Reverend Marcus Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mrs. Lee was born July 2, 1916 in Dale County to the late Alma Hundley Byrd and Wade Hampton Byrd. She worked with the Bank of Ozark, retiring from South Trust Bank, now Wachovia, in 1991; her career spanned over 50 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, taught Sunday School in the Primary Department for several years, and served as Secretary-Treasurer of the John Wesley Sunday School Class for 15 years. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Hampton Byrd and Alma Hundley Byrd, her husbands, Cephas Arnold "Tee" Lisenby, and Donice Elias Lee, two brothers, Pete Byrd and Fox Byrd, one sister, Lucile Byrd Snell, one niece, Donna Byrd, and her son-in-law, C. Floyd Johnston. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Lisenby Johnston Folmar and her husband, Sam Folmar, of Dothan,her son, Cephas Hampton "Cy" Lisenby and his wife, Gail Weld Lisenby, of Ozark, one grandson, Will Johnston and his wife, Celeste Reynolds Johnston, three granddaughters, Kenna Lisenby and her fiance Bret Head, Kami Lisenby, and Susan Johnston and her fiance Eric Jernigan, two great grandchildren, Rune Lisenby and Tanner Johnston, two nieces, Vann Snell Smith and her husband, Reverend Marcus Smith of Fairhope, Alabama, Anne Byrd Yeaman and her husband, William Joseph Yeaman of Birmingham, one nephew, Harold Edward Byrd and his wife, Lorna Hudson Byrd of Hemet, California. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Lisenby, Judd Lisenby, Doug Cowart, Douglas Cowart, Rob Engeart, and Cecil Skinner. The John Wesley Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
