Obituary of Sue Norris Davis

Mrs. Sue Norris Davis, age 70, of Ozark, died Friday morning, August 18, 2006, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, August 21, 2006, from Skipperville United Methodist Church with Reverend Forrest Weekley and Reverend David Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in Skipperville Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. Sunday evening. Mrs. Davis was born February 25, 1936 in Chilton County to the late Maye P. Norris and William Adelbert Norris. She was a member of Skipperville United Methodist Church, and had worked with Alabama Power Company for 26 years, retiring in 1996. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, M. R. "Shine" Davis, two sons, Bill Davis and Stephen Davis, one brother, Billy Quinton Norris. Survivors include one son, Andy Davis and his wife, Anna of Skipperville, one sister, Ann Norris Adams and her husband, Jesse of Atalla, Alabama, four grandchildren, Cori Davis, Karissa Dasinger, Brandon Davis, and Bryan Macko. Four great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Skipperville Volunteer Rescue Squad, 6039 Hwy 105, Skipperville, Alabama 36374. Service Information
