Obituary of Myrl Munn Fisher

Mrs. Myrl Munn Fisher left her earthly home and went to be with her Lord and the angels on April 6, 2006, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 73 years old. Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M. Saturday, April 8, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Charles Kirby and Reverend Clayton Chesser officiating. Mrs. Fisher will be laid to rest in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday afternoon. Mrs. Fisher was born November 6, 1932 in Dale County. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to her family. She will be remembered as the "rock and backbone" of her family. Mrs. Fisher leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family and many pictures to document those memories. She always wanted pictures and loved receiving pictures from family and friends. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and KOLB Chapter #468 Order of The Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Bludsworth Munn and one sister, Helen Munn Michalic. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald Fisher of Ozark, one son, David Fisher and his wife, Sue of Echo, one daughter, Patricia Rowell and her husband, Bill of Ozark, her father, T. R. Munn, Sr. of Ozark,two grandsons, Joshua and Ethan Fisher of Echo, two step grandchildren, Lissa Howard and her husband, Mike of Chicago, Illinois, and Rachel Rowell of Zephyrhills, Florida, one step great grandchild, Nikki Howard of Chicago, Illinois, one sister, Frances Burke and her husband, Dwain of Ozark, four brothers, Robert Munn and his wife, Mae Opal, John Edward Munn and his wife, Linda, T. R. Munn, Jr. and his wife, Pat, all of Ozark, Willie R. (Pete) Munn and his wife, Brenda of Albany, Georgia, sister-in-law, Sara Munn of Valdosta, Georgia. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Pallbearers will be Eddie Munn, Keith Munn, Jeff Bludsworth, William Munn, Billy Munn, and Richard Burke. The family would like to express a special thanks to Wiregrass Hospice and all their staff who have helped and cared for Mrs. Fisher, especially to Jenetha, Lori, Margie, Annie, and Chaplain Charles Goldsmith. Also thank you to Dr. Thomas Brown and his office staff for their care and support over the past five years.
