Mr. Ray Riley, 68, of the Echo community, died early Monday morning, April 3, 2006 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Echo United Methodist Church with Reverend Marquis Wingard and Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Riley's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mr. Riley was born September 7, 1937 in Dale County to the late Lola Ward Riley and Lewie Daniel Riley. He was engaged in farming, and had been a member of Echo United Methodist Church for over 60 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Riley was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Share, and one brother, Billy Hugh Riley. Surviving Mr. Riley is his wife of 46 years; Sara Riley of the Echo Community, two daughters, Sheryl Sketo and her husband, Steve of Midland City, Carol Hooks and her husband, Bill of Hinesville, Georgia, two sons; Tim Riley and his wife, Sherri of Ozark, Charles Hughes and his wife, Carol of Newville, one sister; Charlotte Grantham of Newville, one sister-in-law; Faye Riley of Ozark. Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 415 James Street - Suite D, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
