Obituary of Ann Phillips McGee

Mrs. Ann Phillips McGee, age 55, of the Rocky Head Community of Ariton, died early Wednesday evening, March 8, 2006, at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 10, 2006, from the Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mrs. McGee was born in Barbour County to the late Alma Ruth Teal Phillips and Counce A. Phillips. After her marriage she made her home in the Coffee County area of the Rocky Head Community. She was a member of the Rocky Head Baptist Church where she was director of the Acteens for many years. She was a partner in V & A Research in Skipperville. Ann had a passion for flower gardening that was exemplified with the landscape of her home. Survivors include her husband, Curtis McGee of Ariton, her son and his wife, Adam and Sabrina McGee of Warner Robbins, Georgia, her sister and her husband, Betty and Thomas Metcalf of Ariton, two brothers and their wives, Roger and Annette Phillips of Ariton; Kenneth and Veva Phillips of Skipperville.
