Mr. Adrin Skelton, age 80, of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, October 8, 2005, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 5:00 P. M. Sunday, October 9, 2005, at Ozark Presbyterian Church with Reverend Randall Yelverton officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, October 10, 2005, at 2:00 P. M. in Tuscaloosa Memorial Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Ozark Presbyterian Church from 3:30 P. M. Sunday afternoon until service time at 5:00 P. M. Mr. Skelton was born March 24, 1925 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Skelton, James E. Head, Jr., and Joe L. Hutt founded Madison Construction Company in 1955, moving to Ozark in 1957 with a contract to build Brown's subdivision. His career spanned over 50 years. During this period of time he constructed a vast amount of projects, ranging from schools, banks, Ozark Civic Center, Dale County Court House, and many, many more. Mr. Skelton was a member of Ozark Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow, Association of General Contractors (AGC), American Legion, and Ozark Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. His first wife, Jean Skelton, two sons, Ronnie Skelton and Ross Skelton, and one brother, T. W. Skelton, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Skelton, Ozark, five brothers, Orman Skelton and his wife, Katherine, Lowell Skelton and his wife, Mary Alice, Northport, Alabama, Gordon Skelton and his wife, Betty, Samantha, Alabama, Travis Skelton and his wife, Thyra, and Douglas "Buddy" Skelton and his wife, Judy, Ozark, one sister, Louise Lowe, Samantha, Alabama. three stepchildren, Greg Harrington, Dothan, Stan Harrington, Ozark, and Amy Harrington, Dothan. One stepgrandchild, Tyler Harrington of Skipperville, also survives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Ozark Presbyterian Church, 187 South East Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360, or Vivian B.
