Mrs. Alice Godwin Arnett, age 102, of the Rocky Head Community, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, October 21, 2005, at Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. The body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday. Mrs. Arnett was born December 1, 1902 in the Rocky Head Community of Dale County to the late Mary Caldwell Godwin and George Godwin. She was the oldest member of Rocky Head Baptist Church. Mrs. Arnett was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She worked with Searcy Manufacturing Company in Enterprise. Her husbands, Albert Hutto and J. D. Arnett, and her daughter, Francis Walker, preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Clara Weed, Ozark, one son, A. F. Hutto and his wife, Juanita, Enterprise, six grandchildren, Reverend Bill Weed, Elnora Aschoff, Mike Hutto, Lomax Hutto, Tim Walker, and Hill Walker. Nine great grandchildren also survive.
