Obituary of Elia Cortez Harriman

Mrs. Elia Cortez Harriman, 77, originally of Corpus Christi, died Tuesday evening, January 25, 2005, in Ozark, Alabama. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, February 3, 2005, also at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. Mrs. Harriman was born January 30, 1927, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Jesusa Martinez Salyer and George Salyer. She lived the majority of her adult life in Texas where she was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jonathan Cortez; and one sister, Ophelia Gonzales. Survivors include her husband, Maurice Harriman, Ozark; one daughter, Pat Loudermilk and her husband, Jack, Daleville, Alabama, one sister, Lydia Salucedo, Corpus Christi; and two brothers, Rudy Flores, Orange Grove, Texas, and Raul Flores, Corpus Christi. Four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Resource Center, P. O.
