J.A. Nance Obituary

Mr. J. A. Nance, 62, of Midland City and native of Ariton, died early Tuesday afternoon in Dale Medical Center following a short illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, October 29, 2004, at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sarah Senn, 217 River Road, Ariton, from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Nance was a native of Ariton and had lived in Midland City for the past six years. Mr. Nance served in the United States Army National Guard. Most recently he was employed with Larry's Bar-B-Que in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Boswell Nance, his parents, Flossie Mae Faulk Nance and Joseph Alto Nance. Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Nance Robertson, Midland City, one step-daughter, Tammy Hale, Geneva, one son, William Joseph Nance, Midland City, one step-son, Tony Hale, Eufaula, two sisters, Sarah Senn and Betty Peavy, Ariton, one brother, Danny Nance, Zolfo Springs, Florida. Six grandchildren also survive.
