Mr. Walker was a native and life-long resident of Ozark. He joined the United States Army in 1941, and then served for over 40 years in the Army Reserves. He worked for the City of Ozark Water Department; then with the Water Department of Civil Service at Fort Rucker, retiring as the Water Plant Manager. He was an avid master gardener. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church for over 70 years. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evie Andrews Walker and Lewie Walker, his wife of 38 years, Syble Walker, and three brothers, Leslie Walker, Gene Walker, and Smith McKay "Smitty" Walker.
