LT. COL. (Retired) Johnson was a native of Ozark where he was an active member of the Ozark Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a B-24 Pilot, flying thirty-one combat missions. He retired from the Army in 1964 following twenty-three years of service. He then worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker for eighteen years. He served on the Board of Regents of Southern Christian University in Montgomery. LT. COL. Johnson loved gardening and his farms in Daleville and Ozark where he raised Polled Hereford Cattle. Service Information
