Mr. Willie Marion Tew, 85, of Ozark, died Friday morning, June 23, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Sunday, June 25, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Ronald K. Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Blue Springs, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:30 P. M. until service time.
Mr. Tew was born April 28, 1932 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Arthur Edward Tew and Lola Cordelia Coggins Tew. He served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956. Mr. Tew worked with various aircraft maintenance contractors at Fort Rucker as an avionics technician and helicopter mechanic. He enjoyed restoring anything, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He was a very giving person who loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Winyard Tew.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Scott Tew; one daughter and son-in-law, Starla and Terry Andrews; one son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Ronda Tew; two grandchildren, Madison Tew and Clayten Tew all of Ozark; one sister, Louise Johnson of Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Day Spring Hospice, 201 West Lee Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
