Mrs. Lisa Kay Garrison Brasher, 54, of Ozark, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
A memorial service for Mrs. Brasher will be held 6:30 P.M. Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Camp Ground Baptist Church with Reverend Al Sonanstine officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Mrs. Brasher will be interred 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Bethlehem United Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallant, Alabama.
Mrs. Brasher was born March 28, 1963 in Gadsden, Alabama. She had worked with Shoe Outlet in Gadsden, Army and Air Force Exchange Service, and the Commissary at Fort Rucker. She attended Camp Ground Baptist Church in Ozark. Mrs. Brasher had fought a rare brain disease called CADASIL for ten years. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Judith Kay Smith Garrison and one brother, Tim Garrison.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Keith Brasher of Ozark; one daughter, Emily Kaye Brasher of Ozark; her Mother-In-Law, Eunice Brasher McClendon of Ozark; one sister, Tona (Kevin) Ennis of Boaz, Alabama; one brother, Shane Garrison of Altoona, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Carol Campbell of Gallant, Alabama; and many loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cure CADASIL Association, 10 Schalks Crossing Road, Suite 501A-133, Plainsboro, NJ 08536 (cureCADASIL.org).
