Obituary of Johnny Edwards

Mr. Johnny E. Edwards, 70, of Brundidge, Alabama, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Troy Regional Medical Center. A memorial service for Mr. Edwards will be 4:00 P. M. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jim Powell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 3:00 P. M. until service time. Mr. Edwards was born June 29, 1946 in Clio, Alabama to the late Odus Deleon Edwards and Nell Corrine Holland Edwards. Mr. Edwards served in the Alabama Army National Guard. He was a truck driver for Hudson Industries for twenty-five years and then worked with Hornsby Tires until his retirement. He had a quick wit with a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time with his family and friends. Mr. Edwards enjoyed working on old cars and motorcycles. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lynn Henson Edwards of Brundidge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Alex Gardner of Dothan, Marlie Brooke and Lance Hilburn of Troy; two grandchildren, Hanna Gardner and Jordan Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Troy Animal Rescue Project, C/O Jones Animal Clinic, 242 Lee Street, Brundidge AL 36010. Service Information
