Miss Ilene Jackson, 88, of Ozark, went to her Heavenly Home Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Funeral services will be graveside 10:00 A. M. Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Dr. Mike Davis officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends following the service.
Miss Jackson was born October 11, 1928 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Jesse Amariah Jackson, Jr. and Ella Mae Chambers Jackson. She graduated from Dale County High School and attended business school in Dothan. Miss Jackson worked for thirty years for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company in Montgomery and then worked with Montgomery Public Schools until her retirement. She was a very active member of McGhee Road Baptist Church in Montgomery for thirty-seven years. Miss Jackson moved back to Ozark in 2010.
The family would like to thank the Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center staff for their compassionate care of Miss Jackson for the past four and one half years.
Survivors include three sisters, Nina Jackson Jernigan of Ozark, Syble Jackson Bush of Birmingham, and Maunell Jackson Suarez Woodham of Tampa, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
