Obituary of Johnnie Pearl Bass Whitlock

Mrs. Johnnie Pearl Bass Whitlock, 93, of Ozark, died Friday, February 17, 2017, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Monday, February 20, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Randy Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 1:30 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Whitlock was born April 4, 1923, in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Willie Lee Bass and Ether Louise Yohn Bass. She had lived in Ozark since 1947 and worked with Fabrics America in Enterprise. Mrs. Whitlock was a homemaker and a member of the Ozark Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Martin Whitlock; her son, Larry Hugh Whitlock; and two sisters, Geanie Simmons and Daisy Whitlock. Survivors include three grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Messer, Krista (Dwayne) Riley, and Jason Ivey; six great grandchildren, Dwayne Riley, Raven Riley, Mark Kiel, Jr., Hayley Messer, Bryson Messer, and McKenzie Ivey.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Hwy -- Suite 2, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
