Mrs. Lilla Mae Jacobs Hornsby, 88, of Ozark, died Friday, December 30, 2016, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, January 2, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Bill Weed officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Hornsby was born June 1, 1928 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Walter Lee Jacobs and Elie Irene Metcalf Jacobs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Hornsby; her son-in-law, Wendell Joseph Roberts; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Nell and J. D. Brooks; one brother, Thomas E. Jacobs; and one grandson, James Brian Roberts. Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Hornsby Roberts of Eufaula; one son and daughter-in-law, James R. “Ricky” and Glenda Hornsby of Montgomery; one sister-in-law, Helen Jacobs of Panama City, Florida; three grandchildren, Janet Roberts, Adam Pilgreen, and Amber Pilgreen; a special niece, Beth Carroll (Wayne Couto) of Ozark.
