Obituary of Helga Anna Werner Pruett

Mrs. Helga Anna Werner Pruett, 75, of Ozark, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Mr. Herschel Baker officiating and her daughter-in-law, Delilia Werner, presenting the eulogy. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery between Dothan and Headland, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until service time. Mrs. Pruett was born March 16, 1940 in Schluchtern, Germany to the late Karl Jakob Werner and Anna Lina Kuhnle Werner. She moved to the United States in 1966 following her marriage. She and her husband lived in various places while SGT Pruett served in the United States Army. They made their home in Level Plains and in Daleville before settling in Ozark in 1987. She was a member of the N. C. O. Wives Club and the German Coffee Club. She did a lot of volunteering with the N.C.O. Club fund raisers. Mrs. Pruett was Lutheran by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Heinz Rolf Werner and Herbert Erwin Werner. Survivors include her husband, Charles Houston Pruett of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Ethel and Wade Reese of Daleville; one son and daughter-in-law, Ralf and Delilia Werner of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Brittney Reese, Mitchell Reese, Gregory Werner, Michael Werner, Liane Lipps, Kyle Werner, and Jacob Werner; one great grandchild, Ryleigh Nichole Bowling; and one sister, Anita Fischer of Germany.
