Obituary of Sarah Fralish Ezell

Mrs. Sarah Catherine Fralish “Granny” Ezell, 94, of Ariton, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. Mrs. Ezell was born August 7, 1921 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Charlie Rastus Fralish and Telie Elizabeth Blocker Fralish. She worked for over twenty years with Judy Bond Mfg. Company in Ozark. Mrs. Ezell was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, church activities, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wilton Ezell; one daughter-in-law, Elaine Ezell; one son-in-law, Rodney Dykes Teal. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ezell Teal of Ariton; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Ruby Ezell of Ariton; seven grandchildren, Mary Kathryn and Jason Varnum of Dothan, Elizabeth Ann and Merritt Mills of Ariton, Sarah Elaine and Brian Scheidt of Dothan, Debbie and Kenny Baker of Ariton, Don and Jill Ezell of Ariton, Dennis and Ashley Ezell of Ariton, Dusti and Tim Hallman of Birmingham; eleven great grandchildren, Brad Baker, Ciara (Jordan) Andrews, McKenzie Ezell, Tyler Ezell, Madeline Ezell, Blake Mills, Audrey Ezell, Aydin Varnum, Alex Varnum, Henry Hallman, and Brooke Scheidt; two step-grandchildren, Joanie Dorill and Anthony Johnson.
