I wrote this back in high school and the words and feelings remain the same.
My Grandmother
You are the most precious grandmother to be found,
And you are better than anyone around.
You look after me and take care of things,
You are like an angel with big wings.
I never will forget all that you do,
And I truly, truly love you.
You're always there to lend an ear,
And you listen to problems that have many tears.
You're always there to give advice,
Even when I've messed up twice.
You always want the best for me,
That's truly not hard to see.
I hope I've made you proud with everything I've done,
And just think, things have just begun.
There's so much more of life to live,
And so much more that we shall give.
Hopefully I'll never disappoint you with certain things I may do,
Because you mean the world to me and I love you.
I'll keep plugging on with your support and love,
A love that could only come from heaven above.
I have always appreciated your love which is so dear,
Thanks for being there for me, far and near.
Remember I love you with all my heart,
And the two of us will never part.
